Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang Predicts 70% Revenue Growth Next Year
Developing
In Short: Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang has reaffirmed his company's revenue outlook for next year, predicting a 70% growth rate.
At the Goldman Sachs Communicopia + Technology conference, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang explained why his company's AI dominance and revenues will continue to grow, despite increasing competition from hyperscalers and AI labs.
Huang, known for his enthusiastic promotion of Nvidia's products, emphasized that the company's success is not just about building chips, but also about its extensive presence in the AI ecosystem.
He stated, 'Most people think Nvidia builds a chip. I mean, you need airplanes to ship what we build,' highlighting the company's global reach and the complexity of its products.
During the conference, Huang reiterated Nvidia's revenue guidance for the upcoming year, which he first announced last month, when the company reported record-breaking revenue.
He confidently stated, 'I think we could grow 70% year over year. We’re confident about that,' indicating the company's strong belief in its future growth.
Huang attributed his confidence to Nvidia's deep integration into every area of AI, noting that the company runs every model used by major AI labs, including Anthropic, OpenAI, and Google.
However, questions about Nvidia's circular deals, where it invests in companies that then purchase its products, were raised, leading to speculation about the long-term sustainability of its AI stronghold.
Despite the challenges, Huang emphasized Nvidia's foundational role in the AI ecosystem, extending from its suppliers to data center projects and startups, suggesting a broad and deep market presence.

- There’s been endless hand-wringing over whether Nvidia’s party will end as it faces increasing competition for GPUs and AI chips from all directions: the hyperscalers (Amazon, Microsoft, and Google, each building their own) and the AI labs (Anthropic and OpenAI, which are building their own) as well as from newly public competitor Cerebras and startups such as Etched.

- Right now, even Huang admits that much of AI’s growth is coming from AI native startups that are raising vast sums and spending most of that cash on their own AI use.
