The new clinical guideline published by the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology recommends preventing and managing high blood pressure with healthy lifestyle behaviors such as a heart-healthy diet, physical activity, and stress management.

"High blood pressure is the most common and most modifiable risk factor for heart disease," said Daniel W., Chair of the guideline writing committee.
