In Short: When you travel as a wheelchair user, every journey starts with meticulous planning, but the city of Amsterdam offers a surprisingly accessible experience, according to a regular visitor.
From London St Pancras International by Eurostar to Amsterdam Centraal Station, the journey sets a relaxed tone, as I can stay in my wheelchair the entire time.
One reliable fallback I found is Wagamama at Max Euweplein, just off Leidseplein and close to the Hard Rock Cafe, where I could use the accessible toilet without being tied to dining there.
One of my favourite ways to explore Amsterdam is taking the free ferry across the IJ to Noord, the neighbourhood directly opposite Centraal Station, highlighting the city's compact and wheelchair-friendly layout.
