The Metropolitan Police is carrying out a criminal investigation into allegations that Reform UK broke the law in relation to foreign funding, following a broadcast by Channel 4 News last week.
A Met spokesperson said the force had received 'a number of reports relating to donations and polling involving a political party' and was seeking to obtain footage from the broadcast.
All allegations under investigation relate to potential offences under the Political Parties, Elections and Referendums Act 2000, according to the police spokesperson.
Reform UK denies any wrongdoing and has pledged to fully cooperate with the investigation, while the police continue to liaise with the Electoral Commission and Crown Prosecution Service.
Detectives are probing senior Reform figures for discussing how to disguise foreign donations, with the party maintaining its innocence and cooperation with the probe.
