Good news, bad news: Privacy Display could come to more Galaxy S27 models, but not all

In Short: Samsung is set to expand its Privacy Display technology to the Galaxy S27 Pro and Ultra, but not all models, according to industry sources.
However, the news is not universal across the entire Galaxy S27 series. A conflicting claim that all four Galaxy S27 models could get this tech has been contradicted by the ET News source. The Pro model is tipped to get a 6.47-inch display, a 5,200mAh battery, a 200MP main camera, and a 12MP 3x camera, according to Android Authority. The company is excited to see Privacy Display on more Samsung phones, though, as it enhances privacy and security for users.
Meanwhile, Huawei has also introduced a privacy display on its Mate XT2, a foldable device that folds out twice into a tablet-sized 10.2-inch display. The Mate XT2 features a hardware-level privacy display that allows the screen to remain clear when viewed from the front while restricting visibility from the side. Huawei's privacy display is designed to limit side viewing, making it a significant advancement in the field of foldable technology.
The Verge reported that the Mate XT2 also adopts the inward-folding form factor used on Samsung's Galaxy Z TriFold, making it the first foldable to include a privacy-enhancing display. This feature removes the need for an additional cover screen on the phone, but leaves parts of the delicate folding display permanently exposed. Huawei's Mate XT2 is equipped with its in-house Kirin 9050 Pro chip, a redesigned hinge, stronger water resistance, and a privacy display designed to limit side viewing.
In addition, the Mate XT2 features a 12.3mm thickness when folded and a 3.5mm thickness when unfolded, making it a versatile device for both phone and tablet use.
