Driver charged after two cyclists killed in crash involving multiple riders near Gravesend

In Short: Aaron Turner, 22, from Hermitage Road, Higham, has been charged with 2 counts of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop at the scene of a road traffic collision, and possession of a class C drug after a crash near Gravesend killed two cyclists.
Kent Police said the incident occurred in the Kent village of Cobham near Gravesend at around 7.47am on Sunday, when a white Ford Focus travelling along Sole Street towards Meopham collided with three cyclists.
The force’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has appealed for anyone who has either witnessed the collision, or saw the car or cyclists prior to the incident, to come forward.
According to reports, a man in his 60s and a woman in her 50s were killed in the crash, with two of them confirmed dead by paramedics attending the scene near the junction with Round Street.
