Stevie Wonder Announces 18-Date 'Songs in the Key of Life' 50th Anniversary Tour

Stevie Wonder is hitting the road this fall to mark the 50th anniversary of one of his most beloved, critically acclaimed studio albums, 'Songs in the Key of Life,' released in 1976. The tour, which will feature performances of the entire album, is set to kick off on October 13 in Birmingham, U.K., with stops in Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, and other European cities before heading to the U.S. for a winter run of shows.
According to a press release, Wonder, 76, will perform the entire album on the tour. The tour will then hit Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hannover, Cologne, Amsterdam, Dublin, London, Manchester, and Glasgow before heading back to the U.S. for a run of winter shows at Madison Square Garden in New York on November 19, followed by gigs in Chicago, Washington, D.C., and Detroit before winding down with a show at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles on December 19.
Stevie Wonder has said the album’s themes feel just as urgent today as they did five decades ago, with its reflections on love, community, and shared humanity continuing to resonate worldwide. The tour will see the seminal 1976 album performed from start to finish alongside other hits from Wonder's timeless back catalogue.
