The tour, which kicks off on October 13 in Birmingham, U.K., will span across Europe, the UK, and North America before concluding in Los Angeles on December 19.
According to reports, Wonder will perform the entire album during the tour, a testament to the enduring legacy of 'Songs in the Key of Life,' which has been hailed as one of the most celebrated releases in modern music. The tour will include performances in Paris, Copenhagen, Oslo, Stockholm, Hannover, Cologne, Amsterdam, Dublin, London, Manchester, and Glasgow, before returning to the U.S. for shows at Madison Square Garden in New York, United Center in Chicago, Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C., Fox Theatre in Detroit, and Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.
Wonder announced the tour on September 8, with tickets going on sale on September 11. A presale is set to begin on September 9, with the general on-sale starting at 10 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster. The tour will also feature performances of other hits from Wonder's timeless back catalogue, reflecting the album's themes of love, community, and shared humanity, which remain as relevant today as they were five decades ago.
In June, Wonder performed a short set at the opening of former President Barack Obama’s Presidential Center in Chicago, performing 'All I Do' and 'Signed, Sealed, Delivered I’m Yours' with the Roots, as well as 'Higher Ground' with an all-star group of fellow performers including Bruce Springsteen, Jennifer Hudson, Christina Aguilera, John Legend, Eddie Vedder, and Common. This performance highlighted the enduring impact of his music and the continued relevance of his work.
The tour will see Wonder performing the legendary album in full, a move that underscores the album's significance in shaping soul, pop, and R&B.
