Country music artist Rosanne Cash has announced she will take a brief break from her tour, citing an 'unforeseen medical emergency' that has impacted her performances in Wyoming and Montana, according to reports.

Cash, who is scheduled to perform in Sheridan, Wyoming, on September 8, and in Billings and Bozeman, Montana, on September 9 and 10, respectively, has postponed these shows, with new dates yet to be arranged.

In a post to her Instagram page, Cash's management team stated, 'She is recovering under her doctors’ supervision, who have recommended a temporary restriction on travel and performing.' The singer, 71, is currently scheduled to return to performing on September 15, with a single Nashville performance in November.

Cash, the daughter of Johnny Cash and his first wife, Vivian, has been reflecting on her father's legacy and her own path in a recent interview with AARP, noting, 'I see that desk as a prism where the past and the future, legacy and rebellion, come together.

Then, in October, Cash will head to Europe, where she’ll play seven shows throughout the month.
She will take December off, before playing three shows in California the following month.
