A new image from the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope has revealed the striking nebula LHA 120-N44, located roughly 160,000 light-years away in the Large Magellanic Cloud, a satellite galaxy of the Milky Way. This superbubble, a region of space where stellar winds and supernova explosions have blown away the surrounding gas, is now visible in stunning detail.

The Large Magellanic Cloud, one of the closest galaxies to our own Milky Way, provides a unique opportunity for astronomers to study the life cycles of stars and the dynamics of interstellar gas and dust. The nebula, also known as N44, is a region of intense star formation and stellar activity.
