Prime Video has unveiled the first official images from the upcoming adaptation of Chloe Walsh's 'Boys of Tommen' at its Obsessed Retreat in the Bavarian Alps. The photos, featuring Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch and Conor Sánchez as Johnny Kavanagh, have sent fans wild. The series, which follows the forbidden love story of Johnny, a star rugby player, and Shannon, a shy new girl at Tommen College, is now in production.
The images, taken at Prime Video's Obsessed Retreat: Class of '26, show Sánchez shirtless on the rugby pitch, while Surridge portrays Shannon with a wistful look. The cast includes James O'Donoghue as Joey Lynch, Sophie McGibbon as Aoife Molloy, and Eoin Macken as Teddy Lynch. Róisín Gallagher and Amy Huberman are cast as Shannon's parents, Marie and Edel Lynch, respectively.
Fans are particularly excited about Amy Huberman's casting as Edel, given her real-life connection to Irish rugby legend Brian O'Driscoll. The series, directed by VMA-nominated Brendan Canty, is based on the first two novels in Walsh's series and stars a promising cast of rising stars. Both teenagers are hiding secrets: Johnny has a potentially career-ending injury, and Shannon comes from a troubled and violent home life.
The series, which was greenlit earlier this year, is set to focus on the love story between Shannon and Johnny, with additional storylines involving their families and the challenges they face. Production is currently underway, and fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the upcoming TV adaptation on Prime Video.
