Apple is set to host its 'Surprise and Shine' event on September 9, marking the first under new CEO John Ternus. According to reports, the event will feature the launch of the iPhone Fold, though it may also be called the iPhone Ultra, alongside new Apple Watch models and AirPods. The event will be streamed on YouTube, the Apple Events website, and the Apple TV app, among other methods.
The iPhone Fold, or Ultra, is expected to be the more significant product launch at the event, though Apple is also rumored to break with its usual routine by holding off on releasing a base iPhone 18 until next year. Only the more expensive Pro models will be revealed in September, according to CNET. The event will also be the first under the leadership of John Ternus, who will take over from Tim Cook on September 1.
AppleInsider reports that the event will be the first for the company following the long-awaited CEO transition. Titled "Surprise and Shine," the event will start at 10 A.M. on September 9. Regular as clockwork, Apple holds an event in early September to launch new iPhone models and other products. This year, the event will also include an on-site event at Apple Park for the media to try out Apple's new launches, if not anything being streamed live.
Apple World Today has also reported that during the event, a new "Readiness" app will be announced. The company will also introduce the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4. The event is expected to be unlike most others, with Apple potentially breaking its usual product launch schedule.
