Apple is set to hold a special event on September 9, titled 'Surprise and Shine,' to unveil new products and mark the first event under new CEO John Ternus. According to reports, the event will feature the iPhone Fold, also known as the iPhone Ultra, alongside new Apple Watch models and AirPods.

Apple will stream the event on YouTube, the Apple Events website, and the Apple TV app, as is customary. The event will also include an on-site experience at Apple Park for the media to try out the new products. This marks the first event under Ternus, who will take over from Tim Cook on September 1.

AppleInsider reports that the iPhone Fold will be a significant launch, though it may also be called the iPhone Ultra. The event will also be the first for the company following the long-awaited CEO transition. Ternus will helm the presentation from the outset, marking a new era for the company.

According to Apple World Today, Apple will also announce a new 'Readiness' app during the event. The company is expected to break with its usual routine by holding off on releasing a base iPhone 18 until next year, meaning only the more expensive Pro models will be revealed in September.

AppleInsider notes that the event will be unlike most others, with regular updates and reports from the company. The event is set to take place at 10 A.M. on September 9, and AppleInsider will provide in-depth coverage of the product launches and the event in general.
