The data indicates that the proportion of voters not carried forward does not necessarily correlate with the Muslim population share of a constituency, suggesting a more complex issue at play.
Community groups are working to encourage those whose names have not been carried forward to rectify their documentation during the claims stage, according to a spokesperson for The Indian Express.
In Bhiwandi East, the highest percentage of voters not carried forward is 49.10%, followed closely by Bhiwandi West at 44.72%, Mumbra-Kalwa at 42.91%, and Mankhurd Shivaji Nagar at 42.31%.
These figures do not indicate whether individual Muslim voters were excluded, leaving the reasons for the discrepancy unclear.
