According to reports, President Donald Trump shared a new Space Force uniform design on the Truth Social platform, inspired by the science-fiction film 'Starship Troopers.' The uniform, described as 'inspired by the discipline and functionality of the Starship Trooper uniform' and modernized for Space Force personnel, features a fitted, dark-gray jacket and matching trousers, along with a peaked cap, black belt, and tall, black boots.
Space Force stated that feedback from its Guardians had helped shape the design and fit of the uniform. The uniform graphic includes the Space Force’s Delta emblem in several places, such as the collar, cap, belt buckle, and sleeve patch.
The color palette of the uniform is described as 'space gray,' 'midnight black,' 'silver gray,' and 'satin black.' It remains unclear whether the graphic represents a formal proposal that the administration intends to pursue, or if it is merely a social media graphic shared by Trump.
The service formally introduced its current design in January 2026, after previously using a modified Air Force uniform. Newsweek reached out to the White House and Space Force for comment via email on Monday and is awaiting responses.
