Netflix has confirmed the production of 'The Inbetweeners' third movie, with the original cast, including Simon Bird, James Buckley, Blake Harrison, and Joe Thomas, reprising their roles from the hit show and its two previous films.
The movie, which is set to begin filming today, will be directed and written by the show's creators, Damon Beesley and Iain Morris. According to Netflix, the first film made history as the biggest opening weekend for a UK comedy, and the sequel also broke box office records.
The news comes after weeks of speculation and reports, with the beloved British sitcom originally running for three seasons on Channel 4 and spawning two successful theatrical movies before moving to Netflix.

- Alongside the announcement, Netflix released a teaser video which showed Will, Simon, Neil and Jay return to their iconic yellow Fiat.
- The streaming giant has released a teaser for the movie, showing Simon Bird, Joe Thomas, James Buckley and Blake Harrison – aka Will, Simon, Jay and Neil – all getting into Simon's dusty old yellow car, still with its replacement door and awkward sticker.
