To support the transition, 12 charging stations with 916 charging points have been established across Lucknow, as officials reported to The Indian Express. Additionally, the city now has arrangements for 100% scientific processing of municipal waste, with a capacity of 2,550 tonnes per day.
While creating new green spaces within a densely built urban environment is becoming increasingly difficult, Lucknow's first-place finish in the survey is more than just a number. The city's efforts in road dust suppression, solid waste management, and the adoption of electric vehicles in municipal fleets have contributed significantly to its ranking.
