He left Raipur to become a CA. The Delhi PG collapse changed everything
Developing
In Short: Soni, a B.Com student in Delhi, moved to pursue a career as a chartered accountant but died in the collapse of a PG accommodation, leaving his family devastated.

Soni, a second-year B.Com student at Delhi University’s Motilal Nehru College (Evening), had moved to Delhi a year ago to chase his dream of becoming a chartered accountant. His plans were abruptly cut short when he died in the collapse of a PG accommodation in Delhi’s Satya Niketan, one of seven people who perished in the tragedy.
Yuvraj, a friend of Soni, expressed the family's grief, saying, 'Even after finding his body, we’ve still not worked up the courage to tell him the truth.' The incident occurred despite the fact that 12 people were rescued, and the Delhi High Court has indicated that responsibility could extend beyond the PG owner to Delhi University and civic authorities, citing the 'absolutely inadequate' number of hostels available to students.
In the wake of the collapse, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) has suspended South Zone Deputy Commissioner Rakesh Kumar and four engineers. The incident has sparked renewed calls for better regulation and safety measures for student accommodations in the city.
Soni had last been home for Raksha Bandhan, returning to Delhi on August 31, just before the tragic event.
