Google Photos can now help you build outfits using items you already own
Confirmed
In Short: Google Photos is rolling out a new virtual wardrobe tool that uses your past photos to identify and organize your clothing items, helping you build outfits without the hassle.

The feature, which has been under development since April, is rolling out gradually to eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers in the US. According to Droid Life, the virtual wardrobe tool will use your past pictures to identify clothing items you own and then use that information to create a virtual wardrobe of all those items, along with recommended outfits you can build from them.
To set it up, users will need to ensure Google Photos is toggled ON in Connected Apps within Gemini Spark. The tool is part of a wider rollout of new features for Google Photos within Gemini Spark, which also includes the ability to find all vacation selfies, erase background crowds, and center you in the shots.
What's confirmed
- Google Photos is usually quite good at organizing photos and videos, and with the new Gemini Spark integration, things could get even easier.
What's still developing
- However, if you want more manual control over your library, the app is adding a couple of new features you’ll likely appreciate, including one that could help you look your best without spending hours wondering what to wear.
- Earlier this year, we reported that Google was finally working on bringing Manual Photo Stacks to Android after it had been available on iOS for nearly a year.
- This is a huge new connection for Spark because it will allow you to request Google Photos-related tasks that might otherwise take you hours and hours to complete.
- Google offers even more ideas, like creating collages or videos, stylizing bunches of pictures, generating summaries of events, extracting text from images, and other recurring tasks that your brain may be able to come up with.
- With Google Photos support, the AI agent can now handle a bunch of photo tasks from a single prompt.
- Here’s what you can do with it: Gemini Spark can search your Google Photos library for specific photos and videos based on the subject, location, date, or event.
- It can also help find the best shots from a special occasion and filter out duplicate photos.
