"Over two action-packed days, we will take Americans through the defining issues of our party’s agenda and what is at stake," RNC Chairman Joe Gruters said in a news release. The convention, which party officials have described as a rally rather than a nominating convention, is expected to attract about 20,000 people and features 109 speakers and program segments.
