The light novel series 'Unnamed Memory -after the end-' is set to conclude with the release of its final volume in December, marking the end of a six-volume run that began in 2019. The original 'Unnamed Memory' novel series, which started serialization in September 2012, has also seen its final 'Extra' volume published, bringing the total to seven volumes.
Naoki Koshimizu's manga adaptation of the novels, launched in September 2020 in Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh magazine, has also reached its conclusion, with the latest volume published in May 2025. Additionally, Dengeki Bunko will release an art book titled 'Unnamed Memory Archives - chibi art works-' in December, celebrating the series' visual elements.
The popularity of the series is evident from its ranking in the 2020 edition of Takarajimasha's Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! list, and it has inspired a television anime series that debuted in April 2024. The anime's second season, 'Unnamed Memory Act.2,' premiered in January 2025, further cementing the series' place in the anime landscape.
Yen Press is also releasing both the original light novel series and its manga adaptation in English, ensuring a wider audience can enjoy the story. The series has garnered attention for its unique narrative and engaging characters, with Catherine Zeta-Jones's portrayal of Jackie Price in the upcoming thriller series being particularly noted for her use of a Welsh accent.
