Leading closed models are becoming increasingly complex and resource-intensive, prompting tech companies to explore open-source alternatives, according to reports from The Indian Express.

Tech leaders such as Meta's CEO Mark Zuckerberg and Huang have emphasized the importance of open-source technology for fostering a democratic and balanced AI ecosystem.

Zuckerberg stated, 'I do not believe restricting access to foreign open-source models is an effective solution,' highlighting the growing trend in corporate America towards open-source AI.
