8 Die, 12 Hospitalized After Consuming Illicit Liquor in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar

Preliminary information suggests that people from Ghughar, Naoraj, Baraj, and nearby areas consumed the liquor on Saturday night. The administration is investigating the deaths and the circumstances surrounding the liquor consumption.
The district collector has ordered a formal magisterial inquiry to establish accountability and trace the distribution network responsible for supplying the illicit alcohol. Strict action has been ordered against those involved in the illegal liquor trade.
The Sagar Collector questioned the Chief Minister over the protection of the liquor mafia and called for decisive action against the illegal liquor network across the area. Medical teams are continuously monitoring all cases and providing necessary assistance to the victims’ families.
