A man died while attending the Burning Man festival in Nevada, marking the event's first reported homicide. According to the Pershing County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report of an unresponsive man found on the streets at the festival, and he was pronounced deceased at the onsite center for emergency care.
The festival, which launched its 40th anniversary celebration at Black Rock Desert on Aug. 30 and is scheduled to wrap on Sept. 7, faced weather-related challenges including heavy rain that temporarily closed the main entrance and exit gate.
