Ohio State Celebrates Seniors Before Season Opener Against Ball State

In Short: Ohio State honored its seniors on Senior Day before their season opener against Ball State, moving the tradition up from their usual home finale against Michigan.
Ohio State moved its Senior Day celebration from the traditional home finale against Michigan to before their season opener against Ball State, honoring the seniors who were playing in their final home game," said head coach Ryan Day in August. "We talked about it and had long conversations about [moving Senior Day], he added. The Buckeyes also inducted former head coach Jim Tressel into the program's Ring of Honor.

The Buckeyes' offense continued to shine in the third quarter, with running backs Bo and Ja’Kobi Jackson each breaking long touchdown runs to extend Ohio State's lead to 42-3.
Despite the lopsided score, Ball State managed to score a 54-yard field goal with 1:17 remaining in the second quarter. "We're excited to get back to work and prepare for our next game," said Uremovich. Ohio State's next opponent is No. 5 Texas, with whom they will face a big matchup next week.
