Humphries, known for her resilience, said, 'She's an amazing player, she pushed me all the way, it was a couple of bits towards the end of the match that got me through in the end.
Luke Littler, who won the men's World Matchplay title in July, made a winning return to European Tour action with a 6-4 win over German Niko Springer. Littler, averaging 108.59, said, 'I've just produced a 108 average, but when I was practising backstage I couldn't hit anything.' He will next face Krzysztof Ratajski.
Greaves, who had become the first woman to win a match on the European Tour, was unable to maintain her momentum. She opened the contest with a 13-dart leg but could not sustain her early lead, ultimately losing 6-2. Humphries' victory marked a significant moment for the tournament, showcasing her dominance.
The final day of the Czech Open will be played in Prague on Sunday, with Humphries set to face Andrew Gilding, who defeated Nathan Aspinall 6-2. Littler will take on Krzysztof Ratajski, continuing their strong performances in the tournament.
