Passengers can make their bookings according to the following schedule: November 5 travel: Booking begins on September 6; November 6 travel: Booking begins on September 7; November 7 travel: Booking begins on September 8; and for Diwali day, passengers should check the applicable booking date based on the 60-day reservation window.
In previous years, several trains to major destinations reached waiting-list status shortly after ticket booking began, and special trains were also operated to accommodate the additional festive-season demand, but these too witnessed heavy bookings, as reported by Livechennai.
Passengers are advised to check their exact reservation date, keep their journey details ready, and book early to improve their chances of getting confirmed seats, especially from Chennai to their hometowns for Diwali.
