US warns Americans of potential escalation in Middle East after Iran strikes

U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed the strikes, describing them as 'large and powerful' in retaliation for Iran’s alleged mining of the Strait and a missile attack on a U.S. base in Jordan, both of which he claimed were intercepted.
CENTCOM launched the strikes around 12 p.m., targeting Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) targets in Iran.
The situation remains fluid, with U.S. Navy aircraft patrolling the skies and enforcing a blockade of Iranian ports as the U.S. military continues to respond to the alleged Iranian actions.
