CJP spokesperson Saurav Das and his party members are set to accompany a man named Sanjay to the police station to seek justice after he was attacked by a BJP-protected goon at a Jantar Mantar protest, according to reports from Hindustan Times and The Indian Express.
Nishu, Sanjay's daughter, also plans to join her father at the police station. The police have detained two men, Suraj Kumar and Swatantra Bhardwaj, from the protest site and served them notices for interrogation.
The police have taken legal action against the suspects, stating that chargesheets will be filed before the competent court soon, while denying any allegations of political interference in the case.
In a statement, Das wrote about the incident, detailing the attack by BJP-protected goon Swatantra Bhardwaj on Dalit man Sanjay at the protest site.
Kumar, one of the suspects, sustained a simple head injury during a scuffle, and legal action has been initiated against him, according to the police.
