A fake Republican midterm convention website, registered on July 7, has been redirecting visitors to files related to Jeffrey Epstein, according to reports. The site, gopdallas2026.com, was previously set up to look like it was for the upcoming RNC convention in Dallas, but it has since been repurposed to point to Epstein-related documents.
In response to the reports, the RNC wrote 'FAKE NEWS!' on social media, clarifying that the website is an independent resource not affiliated with the RNC or any official convention entities.
Zach Kraft, an RNC spokesperson, told CBS Texas that the RNC is focusing on opening the convention to the American people, as all of President Trump's work has been about improving their lives.
The unusual website stunt comes as Republicans prepare for a two-day gathering expected to feature 109 speakers and programming items, according to the RNC.
The site was registered with GoDaddy, but the owner's name is private. At some point after its registration, the site began redirecting to the Epstein files, leading to confusion and concern among political observers.

- According to documentation from the Internet Archive, which captures snapshots of past websites, gopdallas2026.com used to include a background photo displaying the American Airlines Center in Dallas, the site of the upcoming midterm convention.
