Musk's America PAC is currently weighing in on highly competitive races, including the Senate contests in Maine, Michigan, and Texas, according to a report filed with the Federal Election Commission on Wednesday night.

The spending in Texas' Senate race, while modest, comes at a time when Republicans are raising concerns about their nominee's fundraising gap, and are calling on outside groups to help bridge it.

This move by Musk's PAC aligns with recent efforts to support Republican candidates, particularly in Texas where the contest between Republican Ted Paxton and Democratic state Rep. James Talarico is highly competitive.

The relationship between Trump and Musk was notably close during the early months of Trump's second term, when Musk headed the 'Department of Government Efficiency'.
