US launches more strikes on Iran as state media reports explosions

Iran state media reported the country's deputy governor for security as saying four projectiles had hit the counties of Chabahar and Konarak. Donald Trump confirmed the "large and powerful" strikes, which he said were in response to Iran shooting eight missiles at a US military base in Jordan, adding the country had "failed" at adding sea mines to the Strait.

Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that several explosions were also heard on Qeshm Island on Tuesday, as well as Konarak and Bandar Abbas.
“The strikes follow recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz and against American service members deployed to the region,” CENTCOM said. "We admire your courage and resilience in the fight for your national interests," the Russian leader said, according to Russian media.
