In Short: The Dallas Cowboys have waived quarterback Joe Milton and placed Laremy Tunsil and Jer’Zhan Newton on injured reserve, while wideout Cedrick Nabers remains uncertain for the upcoming season opener.

The Dallas Cowboys have made several moves in their final preparations for the upcoming NFL season, waiving quarterback Joe Milton to make room for running back Emari Demercado. Additionally, they have placed five-time Pro Bowl offensive tackle Laremy Tunsil and defensive lineman Jer’Zhan Newton on injured reserve, according to ESPN reports.

Wide receiver Cedrick Nabers, who is recovering from a torn ACL in his right knee, remains uncertain for the season opener against the New York team on September 13. Despite the uncertainty, Nabers expressed his focus on playing whenever that time comes.

In a statement, Nabers said, 'My mind is focused on playing the regular season: playing whenever that is,' after practice on Monday. The decision on his availability for the first game will be made closer to the time.

These moves and the uncertain status of key players highlight the ongoing adjustments and planning the Cowboys are undertaking as they prepare for the start of the regular season.
