Iran has retaliated against US strikes that killed four people at a wedding party in Kuhestak, according to state media reports. The attack, which reportedly killed more than 50 people including women and children, prompted Iran to respond by attacking US bases in Jordan, Bahrain, and Iraq, as reported by Al Jazeera.
The US military announced a new wave of strikes against Iranian military targets, including air defence sites, radar systems, and maritime assets, following attempted attacks by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) against commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
In response, Iran's military said it had retaliated by attacking US bases and assets in the region, with the Iranian Ministry of Health reporting that electricity and telephone services were cut off in the affected areas. The Iranian spokesman called for global action, stating, 'Iran will respond to these savage crimes with firmness.
The US and Israel launched wide-ranging strikes on Iran on 28 February, with Iran responding by attacking Israel, US bases, and allied states in the Gulf, effectively closing the Strait of Hormuz to marine traffic. President Trump threatened a much larger-scale attack was 'waiting in the wings' following Tuesday's strikes.

- Esmaeil Baghaei, the spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said the “brutal” attack hit the residence in the city of Kuhestak early on Wednesday.
