Spanish Leader Says 5,000 Migrants Are Still in Ceuta, Weeks After Border Surge

While some media reports on July 30 said Moroccan border guards encouraged the migrants to cross into Ceuta, the Spanish leader rejected the theory that Moro Morocco sparked the crisis because it seeks sovereignty over Ceuta.
Although the overwhelming majority of the migrants crossed back into Moro Morocco weeks ago , at least 5,000 people, including 1,200 minors, are still on the streets of Ceuta.
