A knife-wielding woman stabbed two people in the heart of Times Square Monday afternoon before advancing on NYPD officers with two knives and being shot by police, authorities said. (Fox 5) Officers first deployed a Taser in an attempt to stop the woman, but she continued advancing toward them while armed, prompting officers to open fire and strike her, police said.

The armed woman then fled north toward an NYPD substation, where officers confronted her as she wielded two knives, according to police. Before pulling their guns, police did deploy their tasers, but the woman continued to confront them, the Post ’s sources said.

The woman and the female victim have died, and the male victim is in critical condition, ABC News’ sources said. The video then shows the woman walking quickly toward the officers while waving the knives in front of her.

At least one officer appeared to try to subdue her with a Taser , but it did not incapacitate her, the video shows.
