Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan have arrived in Bishkek for the upcoming Shanghai Cooperation Organisation summit and a state visit, marking a significant diplomatic engagement between China and Kyrgyzstan.

In a written speech upon his arrival, Xi highlighted the 'golden period' of rapid development in China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation, noting that the relationship has withstood the test of time and maintained sound and stable development.

Xi expressed his anticipation for in-depth exchanges with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov, aiming to draw a new blueprint for building a China-Kyrgyzstan community with a shared future and discussing cooperation plans for the SCO summit.

Describing the two countries' relations as a 'golden model' of good-neighborly friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, Sheradil Baktygulov, director of the Kyrgyz Institute of World Politics, emphasized the strategic importance of high-level exchanges in deepening bilateral relations and international coordination.
