Peskov did not specific which comments he was referring to but he said that EU politicians had been confrontational towards Russia “not only in words but also in deeds”. Meanwhile, Russia ’s defence ministry said it had successfully tested a nuclear-capable intercontinental ballistic missile that could reach the US.
It comes just days after CIA Director John Ratcliffe travelled to Moscow to warn Russia off any attack on a Nato attack according to reports. Spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Saturday he saw no prospect of improved relations between Russia and the European Union.
The former prime minister said the US president should be urged to let Ukraine produce Patriot interceptor missiles, explaining these could help defend the country from Russian bombardment.
