As of Aug. 27, more than 1,300 people are missing in Nepal and Tibet, more than a hundred of whom were visiting Mount Kailash, a pilgrimage site sacred to several Eastern religions, including Hinduism and Buddhism, AP reported.

The apostolic administrator of Nepal also said that a priest of the vicariate, Father James Britto, was stranded after “he had gone to celebrate Mass on the other side of the river and was stranded.
