The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has issued a statement addressing the extended drought in parts of the western United States, with a specific focus on its impact on Utah’s Great Salt Lake.

For several years, the Great Salt Lake has faced increasingly critical low water levels, a situation that has been exacerbated by the ongoing drought.

Since 2015, the Church has implemented significant conservation measures aimed at mitigating conditions in the Great Salt Lake Basin and beyond, reflecting its commitment to addressing environmental challenges globally.
