President Christofferson rededicated the San Diego California Temple, emphasizing its importance as a visible testimony of the living reality of Jesus Christ. 'This temple and all latter-day temples constitute our visible, tangible testimony of the Redeemer since without His Atonement and Resurrection, the temple would serve no purpose,' he said.
The temple holds deep personal significance for many, including Bishop Waddell, who shared memories of his father serving in the temple. 'It was not infrequent that I would attend the temple and walk through those entry doors and see my father sitting behind the recommend desk or see him in some other location in the temple,' he said.
Sister Waddell also reflected on the temple's importance, recalling the joy of seeing her children's sealings there. 'The temple reminds me of seeing our children’s sealings there,' she said.
President Christofferson also thanked those who worked to renovate and complete the temple, stating, 'On behalf of all of us, I wish to congratulate and thank all those who have worked to renovate this temple and to finish it so carefully in every detail.
