Toronto starter Dylan Cease carried a no-hitter into the seventh inning Saturday at Yankee Stadium before the Blue Jays held on for a 4-3 win over the New York Yankees, the Associated Press reported. Nathan Lukes’ solo home run in the eighth provided the final margin.
Jazz Chisholm Jr.’s two-out single to right on Cease’s 106th pitch ended the no-hit bid. Cease allowed two hits in 6 2/3 innings with eight strikeouts and five walks. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. returned from the seven-day concussion list and had two hits.
