Ukraine hits Russia’s Progress rocket center in Samara with Flamingo missiles, Zelenskyy says
Developing

What we know
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said Saturday that Ukrainian Flamingo cruise missiles struck the Progress Rocket and Space Center in Russia’s Samara region, about 900 km from the border. Ukraine’s General Staff said the plant supports rockets used for Russia’s Rassvet broadband satellite network; Russia confirmed an industrial hit without naming the site in early statements.
Kyiv also reported related deep strikes including an airfield hosting missile carriers. Open-source analysts later pointed to damage at an electronics/avionics building at Progress; those assessments remained secondary to official claims on Aug. 15.
