The meeting, captured in a video by the semi-official Mehr News Agency, took place on Sunday and comes as Iran and the US have been engaged in a ceasefire and peace agreement talks, which recently collapsed.
Despite the collapse of the ceasefire agreement, Iran and the US had previously agreed to a ceasefire and signed a memorandum of understanding in June, aiming to end their military conflict and reach a lasting peace agreement.
This development follows the joint US-Israeli strike on February 28 that killed Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, leading to Mojtaba's ascension to the top leadership role in Iran.
