The Israeli diplomatic source attributed the pause to repeated misleading leaks by the Lebanese delegation, with Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter requesting the suspension of the talks approximately three hours before their scheduled conclusion.
The current round of talks, which is focused on assessing the effectiveness of pilot-zone projects and the potential expansion of these projects in southern Lebanon, is expected to resume tomorrow.
This round of talks was led by Israeli Ambassador Yechiel Leiter, with the addition of several security officials including representatives from the military, the Defense Ministry, and the National Security Council.
