Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that a residential building in Shevchenkivskyi district was partially destroyed, trapping people inside. The heaviest casualties were in two districts, while Lithuania’s embassy was also damaged nearby.

The Russian military took control of two more villages in Ukraine, in Kharkiv and Zaporizhia regions, according to the Defence Ministry. In response, Ukraine struck Russian oil refineries and sank a container ship in the Black Sea.
