U.S. hits Iran after foiled missile attack on troops in Jordan; joins Saudi strikes in Iraq

Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it fired ballistic missiles at Jordan’s Muwaffaq Salti Air Base, a major U.S. hub; Jordan and CENTCOM said the missiles were intercepted. President Trump vowed it was “our turn.” Overnight, CENTCOM said it completed a heavy wave of strikes inside Iran.
Earlier Wednesday, U.S. and Saudi aircraft struck Iran-aligned logistics and weapons sites in eastern Iraq after what CENTCOM called IRGC-directed drone attacks on U.S. forces and Saudi energy infrastructure. Oil prices jumped on escalation fears.
