British maritime security firm Ambrey said in an initial Wednesday assessment that a drone hit a U.S.-owned gas storage tanker at Egypt’s Mediterranean port of Damietta, Reuters reported—the same day U.S.–Saudi Iraq strikes and Iran’s Jordan missile attack widened the war map.

Egyptian officials later confirmed drone-caused fires on two ships. Responsibility remained unclaimed in early reporting.
