Israel intercepted fragments from Iranian missiles fired at Aqaba, Jordan, using its Iron Dome system, according to reports. The missiles were also reportedly intercepted by American air defense systems. No damage or injuries were reported from the interceptors, which fell in an open area near the city of Eilat.
Jordanian military officials stated that three Iranian ballistic missiles were intercepted, while a fourth hit an open area. The IDF confirmed the interception of missiles launched from Iran towards Aqaba.
In response to the ongoing escalation, Iran launched additional missile attacks against allied nations, including Kuwait and Bahrain, while the US continued its airstrikes against Iran. Israel vowed to respond with full force if Iran fires missiles at the country.
The US military stated that its strikes were intended to punish the IRGC for a deadly attack in Jordan that killed two US military personnel and left another missing. In response, Iran carried out a drone attack on US military assets in Kuwait and Bahrain intercepted Iranian missiles during the attacks.
