CENTCOM denies IRGC claim that tankers exploded on mined Hormuz southern route

What we know
Iran’s Fars news agency reported two oil tankers exploded and caught fire while passing a mined route south of the Strait of Hormuz. CENTCOM denied the report, saying “like most IRGC claims, this is” false, BBC reported.
Even with the denial, mine and projectile risk kept commercial captains avoiding unapproved lanes.
