Southern Omani Hormuz route fails to recover as more tankers are struck mid-July
Developing
What we know
Kpler’s shipping ledger notes that after GFS GALAXY, MOMBASA B and AL BAHYAH were struck in the July 12–14 window, the southern Omani route never recovered—and the U.S. reimposed its naval blockade of Iranian ports.
By July 9 the trajectory toward that outcome was already visible in falling transit counts and rising strike tempo.
What's confirmed
- Later Kpler ledger of mid-July vessel hits and southern-route failure (Kpler).
What's still developing
- Insurer declarations of constructive total losses.
